🧠In Dominique Fonteneau’s mind:

How did you get into bridge?

I joined the bridge club where my father played when I was 11 years old (in 1985). It is Philippe Caralp, the bridge teacher of this club, who transmitted me his passion for this game.

After one season of lessons, I started competing with my partner Julien Geitner (born in 1976). We climbed together the ranks until we were integrated into the French team -20ans then -25ans from 1989 to 2000.

What is your best memory?

My best memory is the victory at the European Championship -20 years old in 1994 in Papendal in the Netherlands. To be on a European podium at 20 years old remains in my memory.

What is your favourite game on Funbridge?

On Funbridge, I started with the “compete with the elites” mode to compare myself and learn from the best Funbridge players. I continued with the “Argine Challenges” to have a little challenge.

Extra tip from the Expert:

You must know your opponents well! Bear in mind that playing against robots has its peculiarities. Train yourself up on Funbridge!
