Tournament Rules
Conditions for participation :
Participation in the tournament "FunBridge iPhone iPad" is reserved for FunBridge Premium members.
The gifts will be shipped at the expense of FunBridge where you live, around the world.
From the 32th-final (32th-final included), only Premium members who have paid can participate at the next rounds.
(Premium members with the month offered after registration will not be able to participate to the tournament from the 32nd-finals.).
Prizes for the "FunBridge iPhone iPad" tournament are:
For the
1st: a 16Go wifi
iPad worth 499 €.
For the
2nd, 3rd and 4th: a
GOTO Bridge software worth 89 €.
For the
quarter-finalists:
6 months of FunBridge Premium worth 49 €.
For the
8th of finalists:
3 months of FunBridge Premium worth 29 €.
For the
16th of finalists: the book
Leçons de bridge (French version) by Jérôme Rombaut and Philippe Caralp worth 15 €.
The registration phase:
It will be held from December 16, 2010 to January 14, 2011 at 12h (GMT+1).
Registration requires your email and password FunBridge.
Registration is free and reserved for premium members.
The tournament:
The "FunBridge iPhone iPad" tournament will begin January, the 17th 2011 and is an elimination tournament.
An elimination tournament is a knockout tournament as a tennis tournament.
At each turn, you play against one player, the winner enters the next round and the loser is eliminated.
The rounds are playing only with the PC version of Funbridge.
The number of rounds of the tournament, and therefore the total duration of the tournament depends on the number of registrants.
However, we can assume that the tournament will last one month.
The complete schedule of the tournament (list of meetings of the 1st round and subsequent rounds of planning) will be posted here when the phase of registration will be closed.
The round:
Once the rounds determined, your turn is in the «Open» window in «Available» tab under the name «
FunBridge iPhone iPad».
Each round lasts 3 days and you play a tournament in 24 deals ranking coupled with the FunBridge engine.
You play the tournament when you wish in the period of validity of the tournament: three days.
The draw for the 1st round:
Because it is a challenge tournament, some players will be exempted from the first round, in order to obtain a number of players power of 2 in the second round.
The draw will take place towers so completely random.
Cases of equality and withdraw:
If a player does not play his round before the end date, it is eliminated, so it's his opponent who wins the round and passes to the next round.
If both players do not play their round before the end date of the latter, they are both eliminated. The player that the winner of this round would face in the next round will be automatically qualified for the round after.
If both players finish equal at the end of a round, the player who finished the tournament the first is qualified.
Final round:
The date of the final will be announced after registration, since the number of registered players will determine the number of laps.
Case of malfunctions:
Funbridge reserves the right to cancel a round and recreate it if server failures were to hinder the good running of the tournament.
The players winning of the tournament agree that their last names, first name and / or nickname, will be posted on this site or on any media, including paper, Internet, useful for promoting the tournament.
